So my beloved Santa Fe took a crap on us the other day. It started revving and stalling the engine while I was driving down the freeway at 60 mph with the kids in the car. This happened once before right after we bought it and it was a simple sensor that needed replacement. So of course we were thinking that's all it was this time too. So Fred brought it in to his work on Thursday and once they got down to the part they realized it was something much more. And I mean MUCH more. Basically it wasn't safe to drive in that condition.
That was the first brand new car I bought on my own. I drove it from Vegas to Kennewick when we moved here. And we brought both our kids home from the hospital in that car. I truly loved it. I'm sad to have to see it go. :(
I was seriously stressed about getting a new car too. Of course we weren't planning on getting a new car so we had no idea what to buy. The only two reliable cars I could think of were Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. These also come in a hybrid so I really wanted to get one. Well wouldn't you know...you can't find a hybrid for sale anywhere in the state! Unless of course we wanted to pre-buy one on order, but those were out 8 months. Ugh. So we decided on a Camry. The Toyota dealership was much friendlier than the Honda so we gave them our business.
Here's the new car...

It's nice! I know how much you liked the old car, but you'll love this one too!
Cute! So, no Hybrid? My mom has the Camery Hybrid and make the 4 hour drive to my house on less than a 1/4 tank! Yes I'll make you a bag. Do you want me to pick out fabric or do you want to? I need 1 yard of each fabric and 1/4 yard of heavyweight interfacing!
