Weekend Getaway

We decided to get out of town for the weekend. We thought we might go somewhere a little less hot since it was predicted to be over 100 here. So we went to Portland. It wasn't much cooler though...100 on Saturday! That must have been a record temp for Portland. Ugh.

We spent Saturday morning at the zoo. So much more fun this time since Makayla now knows all the animals and truly seemed amazed to see actual elephants, giraffes, zebras, polar bears, etc. She loved it. So it was worth it.





Sunday we went to Jameson park where they have a children's wading pool. That was tons of fun. Makayla enjoyed it so much that she didn't want to leave!

We met up with friends for breakfast on Sunday. This is Makayla with Ian. So cute, holding hands.

This was how Mason spent most of the weekend. Oh, except for when we were at the hotel trying to sleep. Then he wanted to cry most of the night.
