Since Mason gets the baby room, Makayla graduated to a big girl room. We actually started this project about 3 weeks before Mason was born. The furniture was given to us by some good friends. It's wicker that Fred painted white. It's so adorable...just perfect for a big girl room. I thought the polka dot 'theme' would be cute.
This is called an Amby Bed. I had heard a lot of good things about them so I decided to get one. They are supposed to be great for babies with reflux (which Mason has). I'm sure it won't be a cure-all for his woes but at this point I'll try anything.
Her hair was getting totally unruly! At her age it's way to hard to take care of long hair. She really despises having a pony tail. She won't sit still long enough for braids. So I decided to cut it for the summer. I think it's absolutely adorable. Fred says it looks like Dorothy Hammel. Whatever. I love it.
Makayla's new towel:
I took Makayla to see 'Horton Hears A Who' for her birthday. It was her first time in the movie theater. It went pretty smoothly with the exception of getting her leg stuck in the seat, kicking the lady's chair in front of her, dropping her fruit snacks on the floor, and general restlessness. But I know she watched at least some of the movie because today we went shopping and she saw this towel and announced it was Horton and she had to have it.

Amby bed, I'll have to keep that one in mind. If this baby is anything like Talon, I will definitely need it!
Her room is totally cute with those polka dots on the wall! I think it's a perfect big girl room for a perfect big girl!!
OH and I think the hair cut is very very cute on her! :O)
