We spent some time in the yard this weekend planting trees, shrubs, flowers and sealing/staining the new fence. Well, I mostly just pointed to where I wanted things to go and Fred planted them.
Globe Willow: average growth rate is 4-6 feet per year, full grown in 5 years, minimal pest problems as this is an americanized version of this species. I can't wait to see it in a few years.
Plantings: Hostas, crocus, spirea, butterfly bush, heather and plumbago. This should fill out nicely in the next couple of years.
