Music these days

Ok...I'm officially old. Not in the sense of age. But definitely in the sense of 'cool'. On the way home a song came on the radio and I was totally disgusted. The chorus line is as follows:
Warning - cover your eyes if you don't want to be offended.

"Birthday Sex...Birthday Sex...Birthday Sex"

Now seriously? This is the culmination of your extensive artistic talent. A song about birthday sex. Really? People are paying for this? OMG. I must be old. Because I just don't get it.

I mean, generation X, we had George Michael's 'I Want Your Sex' but at the time that was cutting edge. Everyone was shocked by it. It was a big deal. But this song I heard today was just silly, ridiculous, jibberish. Some random guy singing some crap about birthday sex. Make me puke. I can't believe people want to hear this junk.

I feel like Tipper Gore. Ugh. I'm old.

AND the mayor of Chicago (he's from here) selected him to promote the stay in school program.
Great role model choice.... stay in school, but have lots of birthdy sex too!
