For Fred's birthday I wanted to try a new cake, something quick and simple. I found it with this cake...
1 can cherry pie filling
1 can pitted dark cherries in juice
1 chocolate cake mix
1/2 C chopped walnuts
3/4 C butter
Preheat oven to 350. Spray 13x9 inch pan with nonstick spray.
Dump cherry pie filling in bottom of pan. Drain cherries but reserve juice. Dump cherries in pan. Dump cake mix over cherries. Dump juice over cake mix. Dump walnuts on top. Place pats of butter on top.
Bake for 40 minutes.
